In New York, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across New York on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in New York peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

First night in NYC and wanted some good authentic NY pizza and this place did not disappoint. I found it by searching Google Maps and Reddit for great pizza in midtown. I ordered a piece of cheese and piece of pepperoni and stood at the counter to eat. I added a Gatorade and it was $16. Incredibly thin slices and they were reheated properly to near liquid hot magma temps. Iβd definite return if Iβm ever back in the area. Highly recommend!

Popβs Pizza was exactly what we were hoping for when we wanted New York City pizza. It was fairly priced, delicious, and the cheese was especially good. We took it back to our hotel and devoured it. It was so good that we actually returned the next night for a second round. This was an easy, satisfying, and very worthwhile stop for classic NYC pizza.

Good pizza place. Lot of choices and the price is not bad. It was busy when I came so I felt like they didnβt heat my pizza longer. Location: It is located along 8th avenue. Great display of ready to eat pizza. Standing spots inside. Lot of people in line when I came. Service: not much interaction, just point what I like and pay. Food: I only ordered the Mushroom pizza. Not sure what the name is. I was not expecting but it was good. I just wish they heat it up longer because it was still cold. The pie was also crispy. Price rating: 6/10. It was not expensive. Around $7 per slice Definitely will come back to try other pizzas.

While staying at the New York Athletic Club, Pop's was recommended as the place to go for a quick bite. Just a short walk from the Club, Pop's offers that classic New York slice of pizza. A small space with no seating, but counter space to enjoy a slice of heaven on thin crust. Quick service gets you saucy, cheesy, flavorful and the perfectly sized slice of pizza to eat as is or folded in half. I know there are a lot of pizza places in NYC, but there is a reason Pop's was recommended to us. It's a great representation of what everyone thinks of when they think of a New York slice! Before you try anywhere else, I dare you to try here first!

Literally a small mom and pop shop serving up phenomenal pizzas. HUGE slices with super thin crusts. Had the BBQ chicken and Hawaiian and really liked the BBQ chicken. Sauce was generous. Flavour profile had multiple layers. It had the right amount of savoury sweetness. Will come again. If you order to eat there, they will plate it for you and you can enjoy it on their few high top tables. but if you takeout they will warm it up for 2 mins so by the time you get home itβs still warm. Highly recommend if youβre in the area.
